VW Credit Inc. has beefed up efforts in the USA to promote finance and insurance online with two initiatives: a credit preapproval offer and an end-of-warranty service contract promotion. Both programs were launched in August and have increased the number of Internet leads the captive’s Web site generates for dealers.

“The intent is to drive as much traffic to the dealer as possible, even if we’re not getting the finance business,” says Joanna Sherry, general manager of marketing for VW Credit. More information (Oct.2011)
