Cigna has disclosed that it has received its license to begin marketing supplemental accident, health and life insurance in Turkey through a local subsidiary, Cigna Hayat Sigorta. Its aim is to offer innovative products and services that are simple to understand, affordable and easy to access through a variety of distribution networks, including the types of affinity and direct marketing that it utilises elsewhere in Europe. The company states that its decision to enter the Turkish market follows a detailed analysis of the local insurance industry and the needs and behaviour of local consumers. More information (Aug.2011)
